Coming from São Paulo
Take the Ayrton Senna/Carvalho Pinto or Presidente Dutra Highway. Go for about 75 miles until you see the signs to Tamoios Highway around São José dos Campos. Take Tamoios and shoot straight down to the city of Caraguatatuba. Continue going north on Rio-Santos Highway towards the city of Ubatuba up to km 69, Praia Dura Beach.
Arriving at Rio-Santos, Km 69, turn left and take the small road to Corcovado peak in front of Praia Dura Market. The road is fully paved and of easy access. Follow for approximately two miles, once you pass a local health clinic, on your right, turn right at the second short street. We are located at travessa 3, 87.
Coming from Rio de Janeiro
You have two options:
Rio-Santos Highway, a tourist route, of rare beauty, will take you to Angra do Reis and historical Parati. From Parati to Ubatuba is only 35 miles.
If you are heading south by Via Dutra, you will travel about 160 miles. When approaching the city of Taubaté, you will see the signs to Ubatuba. Take the exit to the Oswaldo Cruz Highway. The distance from Taubaté to Ubatuba
You will get to the Caiçara's Monument, a large size statue. Keep going south for another 7.5 miles, passing by several beaches, such as Praia Grande, Toninhas, Perequê Mirim and Lázaro.
Once passing Praia do Lázaro, you will go uphill. As you go down the highway, look to your right and you will see the majestic Corcovado Peak. Soon you will pass a bridge called Ponte do Rio Escuro. Stay on for another half mile, until Praia Dura Beach. Then, turn left and take the small road to Corcovado peak in front of Praia Dura Market. The road is fully paved and of easy access.
