Itagua is a mix of residential and commercial areas and also has a beautiful bay beach, where you can relax, walk or ride a bike through the bike line appreciating the natural environment or go shopping for beautiful Brazilian souvenirs among the shops nearby. There are also several restaurants, where you can try delicious regional sea food, Italian, Arabian, Chinese, Portuguese or the excellent Brazilian meat as well, all of them within walking distance. There are a great variety of beaches close by, where you enjoy yourself and our hotel offers you a beach kit with a chair and a sunshade to make your life easier.

Arriving in our Pousada is quite easy. If you are coming by Rio, choose BR 101 and enjoy one of the most beautiful and charming sea views of the world: the way from Angra dos Reis to Ubatuba with the majesty of the Atlantic Rainforest meeting the blue ocean with lots of islands and secluded beaches. After Paraty it will be only 76 km to arrive in our lovely city. On the main entrance, take Thomas Galhardo Avenue towards the sea direction, until one street before the beach avenue, turn right on Salvador Correia street and go straight until Liberdade Avenue, then turn left and turn right on the Beach Avenue. You will pass in front of Ubatuba airport and continue on Guaicurus street for four blocks more and finally turn left on Carlos Drummond de Andrade Avenue. We are located at number 116.
If you are coming from São Paulo, you can either choose by getting here with the Dutra highway or Carvalho Pinto. In my opinion, it's much better taking the second one, because there will be less traffic. You can go straight on this road until you see a sign saying Litoral Norte: Caraguatatuba, that is a city nearby, take Tamoios road until Ubatuba. Caraguatatuba is only 60 km far from Ubatuba, although there's quite a lot of traffic between the two cities, the road is well signed and has beautiful views as well. After Praia Grande beach, there will be a roundabout, turn right and get Capitão Felipe Street until Leovigildo Dias Vieira Avenue, on the left of the second roundabout, continue on this avenue. After passing by the Seaquarium, count 3 streets and turn left on the corner of Spaghetto Italian restaurant. Our B & B is just a few meters from it, on the same sidewalk.
Other option if you are coming from SP is taking Carvalho Pinto till Taubaté and then Oswaldo Cruz Road to Ubatuba. It's a beautiful road with nice mountain views, flowers and trees on the side. Usually there's less traffic on this road than in Tamoios, but you have to be cautious on the curves, some of them have a "U" format.
