Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
The hotel is worried about the environment, so they have adopted some environmentally friendly practices in their daily activities.
The hotel has a rain water collector and a water reserve the staff uses this water for watering the garden and washing common areas. All the bathrooms use gas heaters and have some signs encouraging the clients not to change the towels everyday to minimize the use of water and soap. They are also buying a new system of solar energy that will be ready next December. All the employees are from the local community and receive special training to deal with clients.
