The Refugio do Corsario is set on extensive preserved grounds in between the mountains and Fortaleza Beach in Ubatuba which borders a beautiful, calm and clean bay. Here you can relax in the sun, walk along the beach, hike the several trails that lead from the beach up into the Atlantic forest, enjoy great food at the hotel's restaurant, snorkel or go fishing with a local fisherman.
This Ubatuba hotel named Refugio do Corsario gets it name from a local legend about the 16th century Spanish pirate, Antonio de Alcaraz, who discovered this beautiful, deserted bay during one of his escapades and thought it the perfect place for a hideaway and to stash his booty. During a subsequent trip to retrieve his buried treasure, he and his sailors were surprised and captured by Indians, caught in the act as they were digging up chests of gold. The Indians confiscated the gold but continued to dig hoping to uncover more loot, but to no avail. The hole gradually filled with water and formed a beautiful natural pool which you can enjoy on Fortaleza Beach in front of the hotel in Ubatuba.
The resort has 2 spacious pools, one with an island in the middle. There is a fitness center, a game room, a kids' room, a beautiful garden where you can relax on hammocks and sofas, two good restaurants (one of them overlooking the beautiful beach), a beach bar, pool service and car parking.

Any cancellation has to be made through written documents by e-mail or fax and will be charged a fee of R$30.
Cancellation made from 10 to 15 days before arrival, can guarantee a reimbursement of 50% of the total amount minus the cancellation fee.
Cancellation made less than 10 days prior the booked date there will not be any reimbursement.
No shows will be charged 100%.
New Year's Eve Cancellation: Amounts will neither be refundable nor transferable to another person.
National holidays: Amounts will neither be refundable nor transferable to another person.
Minimum booking - (holidays):
From October 9th to 12th, 2009 - three nights (Children's day)
From October 30th to November 2nd, 2009 - three nights
New Year's celebration - minimum 5 nights
Carnival celebration - minimum 5 nights
To change the booked date you have to do it by written message through e-mail or fax and it will be charged a fee of R$30 and any difference in rates.
Rules for high season:
In January - minimum of 3 nights.
No pets are allowed.
The billiards and Gym are allowed only for adults.
