Meet the team from Omnimare, your local connection in the natural paradise of Ubatuba! This online Ubatuba travel booking service is operated by Omnimare Turismo, a friendly family and professional Incoming Tour Agency based in the heart of Ubatuba, staffed by two bilingual diving instructors with great experience and a genuine passion for all things related to Ubatuba.
In 1990, Omnimare started business as a PADI Diving centre, pursuing Pedro's dream of changing his lifestyle. He is a mechanical engineer and used to work and live in Sao Paulo. Diving was his hobby and Ubatuba had been his favorite place since he was a teenager. He completed all the courses required to become a Scuba Instructor and made the best move: live in Ubatuba and start his own business. Elsie was an English teacher and has lived in many Brazilian cities: Ponta - Pora (MS), Rondonopolis (MT), Brasilia (DF), Itu (SP), Campinas (SP) among others, due to her father's work. After finishing university, she lived in London, UK to do a post- graduation course. She also was always linked to Ubatuba (her family has had an apartment there since she was 9) and she always wanted to live in this paradisiacal place. She also had diving as a hobby and in 1992, Pedro and Elsie met in Ubatuba. With their love and synergy they started to work together in the tourism business. She also completed all courses to become a scuba instructor. The couple has always involved in ecotourism activities (preserving this marvelous ecosystem) and engaged in sustainability: training local dive guides and giving local people opportunities to work in the tourism industry.
As Pedro and Elsie state: we love traveling and getting to know different cultures, people, music, food, so in 1994 we started our travel agency , which specialized in taking groups to dive in many places of Brazil and the world. Two years ago, we decided to start our Receptive Agency expanding our services and offering not only our own Bed & Breakfast, but a great variety of hotels and ecotourism activities such as: hiking, trekking, horseback riding, bird watching, boat trips, snorkeling, scuba diving, transfers, cultural and city tours.
We test tours and excursions and check hotel accommodations and services to ensure quality for our guests and we try to choose partners that follow the same ideal of sustainability and environmental preservation.
We have visited nearly every spot in this lovely piece of paradise and we feel that our destination offers a dazzling variety of attractions - pristine white sandy beaches, preserved Atlantic Rainforest, marvelous waterfalls, beautiful diving places, an immense diversity of gorgeous birds, excellent food, good music and an interesting culture that will enchant you!!!!
